surrounded by formal gardens, solsborough was once known as one of IReland’s famous “Big HOuses”. Today, it is recognised as one  of the “historic houses of Ireland”.

The main house sleeps 11 adults in 6 luxurious suites. It can also accommodate up to 8 children.

Two cottages on the estate provides further accommodation - ideal if you are travelling with your own personal staff.

The terrace is sheltered and sunny - the perfect spot to enjoy an al fresco supper and our famously long, bright summer evenings.

If you come when it’s chilly then snuggle up to star-gaze with a glass of Irish whiskey (from Waterford crystal glasses, naturally).

So much of the house has a story to tell. The chandeliers used to adorn the seafood restaurant of London’s iconic Savoy Hotel – and the striking marble bar in the kitchen was reclaimed from the Alexander McQueen store on Bond Street.

The luxurious touches go without saying - pristine linens, beautiful art works – but it’s the embracing feeling that lingers. Solsborough is a house that leaves you wanting to come back.
